Wylde: Rangers keeping a lid on things

Rangers youngster Gregg Wylde says the Glasgow giants are keeping a lid firmly on their brilliant start to their Scottish Premier League title defence.

'Gers are nine points clear at the top of the table after winning nine and drawing one of their opening 10 matches but Wylde says it is far too early to be talking championships, especially with massive clashes against rivals Celtic to be played.

"It's good but we can't get carried away at this moment in time. There are still Old Firm games to be played," he said.

Rangers have taken 28 points from a possible 30 so far and are nine points clear of second-placed Motherwell with Celtic a further point back in third ahead of this coming weekend's international break.
