Wycombe Wanderers boss Paul Lambert is delighted to have been linked with the Scotland job.
Former Celtic captain Lambert has been mentioned alongside a host of potential candidates after Alex McLeish took up a new post at Birmingham City.
"I'll have to see if I'm asked," said Lambert. "It's an honour to be linked to your national team, but I think it is just pure speculation at the moment.
"I heard about it on Tuesday morning and I've never really thought about it to be honest - I've just concentrated on Wycombe. I've loved it here, no doubt about it, but we'll see what happens."
