New West Ham goalkeeper Richard Wright won't consider a long-term bench role at Upton Park.

The 29-year-old, who joined on a free transfer from Everton in the summer said: "When we met the first thing I said to him was 'If you are looking for someone to sit on the bench, I'm not your man'.

"I want to be playing."
