Arsenal legend Ian Wright says keeping hold of Cesc Fabregas long-term is key to any future success for the club.
Barcelona are expected to launch another offer for the World Cup winner next year after Fabregas admitted it would be a dream to return to the club where he started his football career.
Wright told The Sun: "I don't think Cesc is happy staying at Arsenal. He's come back as a World Cup winner and proved when he came on in the final that he's a big player who can make an impact.
"He did that by setting up the winning goal for Spain to win the World Cup. He wanted to go to Barcelona this season but he's had to return and Arsenal fans have welcomed him back with open arms but if Barca had had enough money to buy him, he'd have gone.
"I think he'll be professional and play as well as he can play but it looks like this will be Cesc's last season at Arsenal and it's not a good thing that they are losing players like that.
"Arsenal risk losing Cesc because they're not attracting the kind of players that make someone like him say 'this is the place for me - this is where I can win the Champions League and the World Player of the Year award'.
"At the moment I don't think there's an Arsenal player that will be thinking 'there's not a better place for me to go now'.
"And if Cesc goes, what's stopping other people from going? They've seen Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira go and they've not replaced them with the same calibre of player. So why should Cesc honestly stay?"
