St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright has eased supporters' fears that star striker Stevie May was injured on Wednesday night.
The 21-year old had a dirty night as the Saints held champions Celtic to a 3-3 draw at McDiarmid Park which ended in him being substituted at half-time.
May had earlier missed a penalty in uncustomary fashion before a strong challenge from Efe Ambrose left him with a sore leg but Wright insisted that his substitution was merely precautionary.
"Stevie's fine. The plan was to give him only 60 minutes anyway. He took a nasty one, stud marks on his shin, but there's no problem with it at all. It was just precaution he came off," said Wright.
Of the result, which saw the Saints come from 3-1 down, Wright added: "I was delighted with the performance. We deserved a point. Other than the penalty miss we had other opportunities to be more than just one ahead."
May's fitness will be vital to the Perth club who head to Inverness for their final league fixture on Sunday before meeting Dundee United in the Scottish Cup final at Celtic Park on May 17.
