Southampton are still trying to secure the services of Sanfrecce Hiroshima striker Tadanari Lee.
The Japan international has been training with the Championship league leaders ahead of a proposed move to St Mary's but has yet to receive the work permit he requires to finalise the move from his homeland.
Saints boss Nigel Adkins insists everything is being done to ensure that Lee's visa is processed before the 26-year old officially joins the south coast club.
"He came to watch the (FA Cup) game (on Saturday) and has been involved the last few days doing some work.
"We have to wait for the work permit process to take place and that's all I can say on that one.""We'd like to bring him in but I have to be careful what I say because the work permit process is going on," told the club's official website.
