DC United have confirmed that Daniel Woolard has signed a new deal with the club.
The 28-year old defender, who originally arrived in Washington at the beginning of 2011, has penned a fresh contract to remain at the RFK Stadium.
"Daniel has been one of our most consistent defenders over the past two years and we are thrilled to have extended his contract to remain at the club," said DC United General Manager Dave Kasper. "His versatility and experience helps to make our group of defenders among the best in MLS."
Since joining DC, Woolard has started all 47 of his appearances. He has previously played with such clubs as Chicago Fire and Carolina RailHawks.
