Wolves winger Kightly feels he's proved himself at Premier League level

Wolves winger Michael Kightly feels he's proved himself at Premier League level, despite their relegation campaign.

Kightly is happy with the way his knees have coped.

"I went out on loan to Watford and if I play in the last four games then I will have made 34 appearances this year, which is pleasing.

"I think I also had a couple of games where I stayed on the bench and didn't get on, so I have played a fair decent amount of games this year.

"I think I have proved to everyone that I am injury-free and all those worries are behind me. It's just up to the club to decide what they want to do and I'm sure they will be very busy this summer with everyone else, so we'll see what happens."

Kightly is not closing the door to staying at Wolves - even though it would appear they are destined for the Championship.

"Could I stay here in the Championship? Yes, definitely," he told the Sunday Mercury.

"I enjoy being at the club. If the club are pushing in the right direction and they want me to be a part of that then I'm happy to be a part of that."
