Wolves striker Griffiths impresses St Mirren boss Lennon

St Mirren manager Danny Lennon said he would be very surprised if Hibernian striker Leigh Griffiths did not win the PFA Scotland Player of the Year award.

The 22-year old Edinburgh product, on loan from Wolves, netted two goals in the 3-3 draw between Hibs and St Mirren at Easter Road on the weekend to take his tally to 22 for the season and impressing Lennon.

"He's a very good player. I will be very surprised if he's not the worthy winner of the PFA Player of the Year award," said Lennon.

The draw saw the Buddies remain second bottom on the Scottish Premier League table, eight points ahead of relegation battlers Dundee.
