Leigh Griffiths may be on his way back to the Scottish Premier League with Wolves prepared to send him out on loan.
The 21-year old joined the English West Midlands club from Dundee in January but has not yet featured for Mick McCarthy who did have him in the squad for last night's Carling Cup win over Northampton Town.
McCarthy wants to get some regular game time into Griffiths and would allow him back to join either Aberdeen and Hibernian who are showing interest.
"A few clubs in Scotland have shown interest. I want him to play football and my preference is for him to do that in England," he said.
"But, if it's in Scotland , then fine, and I have told him that."
