Wolves striker Cunha beams after fiery FA Cup win at WBA: I'm from South America - everyone was safe!

Wolves striker Matheus Cunha was thrilled scoring in their FA Cup win at West Brom.

Wolves won 2-0 with Pedro Neto also scoring.

The match was brought to a halt on 80 minutes as fighting broke out between fans at the Hawthorns.

Supporters spilled out of the stands and onto the pitch.

Players initially stood on the side of the pitch, watching as the trouble unfolded, before being ushered back into the dressing rooms.

Wolves were 2-0 ahead at the time and held out after the match resumed.

Cunha later declared: "Derby days are always incredible, the atmosphere is amazing. It's tough but it's a good result.

"After 2-0 it was calm, we came out for the final 10 minutes and got the win.

On if he felt safe to resume, he said: "100%, I'm from South America, this kind of thing happens, as long as everyone is safe. It is bad when you see some children crying and things like that, but the most important thing is everyone is safe. Both teams played well and it was good atmosphere from both teams.

"We need to keep going, we finished very well. Another clean sheet was fundamental to our team.

"We need to believe, we need to do our best, after everything that has come to us, we want to get to Wembley and I hope that good things are happening."
