Wolverhampton Wanderers have been hit with a £25,000 fine for fielding a 'weakened' side against Manchester United in mid-December.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy made 10 changes for the clash with the reigning champions, in an attempt to freshen his key players for a clash with fellow strugglers Burnley five days later.
A 3-0 loss at the hands of United preceded a 2-0 win over the Clarets, indicating McCarthy's plan worked but the Premier League decided it was not within the laws of the game and issued a fine which the manager has accepted, albeit with tied hands.
"I have accepted the fine. It is done with. I will not be appealing against it," McCarthy said.
"Everyone else can have an opinion on it. Mine is, I'm absolutely glad it is done and dusted with.
"Where do you draw the line on changes? It is now open for discussion but not with me.
"Will I change 10 players again? I think you will find it isn't possible to do it."
