Wolves are planning a loan move for Aston Villa defender Gary Cahill.
The Express & Star says the Molineux men have been monitoring Cahill's availability after Martin O'Neil bought Zat Knight and Curtis Davies before the transfer deadline last month - and have been given promising signs by the Villa camp.
The England under-21 international cannot force his way into Villa's first team but Wolves are understood to be keen on the defender.
