Wolves happy to go with Raul and target other positions in summer market

Wolves are happy to go with Raul Jimenez next season.

Jimenez's promising recovery from his head injury means Wolves are likely to prioritise other areas of their team.

The Daily Mail says though Wolves will keep a close eye on Jimenez's progress in pre-season and could adjust their plans, at present their main aim is to strengthen the centre of their defence and midfield.

There is interest in centre-back Willy Boly and midfielder Ruben Neves, while another defender, Romain Saiss, has only 12 months remaining on his contract and Neves' central midfield partner Joao Moutinho will be 35 in September.

Willian Jose was signed in January on loan from Real Sociedad to cover for the absence of Jimenez but the Brazilian has scored only once in 17 matches and is highly unlikely to move to Molineux permanently.

In recent matches, 18-year-old Fabio Silva has been preferred to him in attack.
