Wolves eyeing Man Utd striker Wilson, Chelsea forward Bamford

Championship club Wolves have their sights set on a trio of young strikers.

It is believed that Kenny Jackett is searching for a new attacker this summer as he strives to prepare a competitive squad to challenge for promotion next season.

Manchester United's James Wilson, Chelsea's Patrick Bamford and Newcastle United's Adam Armstrong are all being linked with the Molineux outfit, according to Express & Star.

Wilson, 20, spent the second part of last season on loan with Brighton & Hove Albion, scoring five goals in 25 outings, and is believed to be available for another temporary stint away from Old Trafford.

Bamford had less than successful stints with Crystal Palace and Norwich City and is unlikely to force his way in at Stamford Bridge under incoming boss Antonio Conte and may seek regular football elsewhere.

19-year-old Armstrong scored 20 goals in 40 League One matches for Coventry City during his season-long spell but with the Magpies dropping to England's second tier, it is unlikely that he will be loaned to a divisional rival.
