Wolves coach Carlos Cachada admits Kevin de Bruyne was a class above after he scored four goals in Manchester City's victory at Molineux.
De Bruyne struck four times in City's 5-1 win on Wednesday night.
Cachada said: "When you have players like De Bruyne, who can always change the game, you can have a strategy but when it comes to players like this they can score four goals and finish the game.
"With that performance we can do nothing about it.
"We had a good response to the first goal. Suddenly they scored two goals quite quickly and we lost a bit. We tried all the time to come back, we can't so this is the final result.
"We look game by game. We will try to collect as much points as we can. We have six points to fight for.
"We always tried to be a threat to the other team, even when we were losing."
