Wolves boss: Points are like prisoners

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy says points are like prisoners in the Premier League - and he aims to put another three behind bars at Bolton, reports the . "We've got 12 games left. I'd have taken this position at the start," he said.

"The away games don't bother me at all because we've played well away from home.

"They are huge games coming up, an opportunity for us to put distance between ourselves and Bolton and Burnley, but Bolton will be viewing it exactly the same and thinking they've got an advantage because they are at home.

"If we take a point we'd still be above Bolton and would have done some damage to one of their home games. I think a point away from home against anyone in the Premier League is good - in fact any point.

"Every point is a prisoner in this division. Never, ever should a point in the Premier League be devalued, certainly for us in the bottom half of the table.

"If you're one of the top four at home against one of us bottom six then maybe but any point is so valuable for us."
