Wolves boss Mick McCarthy was keen to talk up the influence of chairman Steve Morgan after their win at QPR.
Having been forced to field questions about his relationship with his employer in the wake of Morgan's dressing room dressing down of his players following Tuesday's 3-0 capitulation to Liverpool at Molineux, McCarthy was brave enough to accept some harsh truths.
"I will just say something about my owner," said McCarthy refusing to get carried away after earning a vital three-points at Loftus Road. "I have won three games in 22 and I am still here as the manager of Wolves.
"Let me tell you that is some level of support so let's not forget that. So when everybody is trying to write negative stuff about me and him, he has been as supportive as anybody else and I owe him a debt of gratitude for that."
