New Wolfsburg signing Diego has launched a furious attack on former club Juventus. The Brazilian had looked set to stay in Turin, but completed his 16m transfer on Friday after just one year at the club.
"I wasn't the one to leave. It was Juve who kicked me out," he declared in a Press conference.
"At Juventus there was a project that I was not considered to be a part of. That's fine, a player like me will always have his space in football.
"To be honest, I am not remotely upset to have left. It's just a shame for the Juve fans, who I must thank for their respect and affection towards me.
"Juventus were not clear. It was not the club who told me of the sale, but FIFA agent Giacomo Petralito, so only afterwards did I talk to director general Beppe Marotta. I expected more respect."
