Wolfsburg intent on keeping ex-Arsenal striker Bendtner, Southampton target Dost

Wolfsburg director of football Klaus Allofs says his club has no intentions of offloading two of their strikers this summer.

Dutch ace Bas Dost has emerged on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs, including Southampton, Newcastle United, Swansea City and Stoke City, while Nicklas Bendtner's future at the Volkswagen Arena has also been questioned.

However, Allofs insists that the pair are required players and are set to remain at Wolfsburg beyond the next transfer window.

"Both of them have contracts with us and there is no reason for us to sell them," Allofs told Sport Bild.

"Every time there has been a transfer period open in the past two years, he's been saying he will have to consider his future. We know Bas quite well now."

Dost, 25, has netted 14 Bundesliga goals this season while former Arsenal attacker Bendtner enjoyed some decent form in the Europa League with four goals in eight appearances.
