"I would be happy to play for Celtic, that would be no problem," Madlung insisted. "It's a great club with lots of tradition and a big reputation in European football.

"I haven't been in Glasgow for talks, but the clubs have made contact. However, it's not for me to decide, it's for the Wolfsburg coach, Felix Magath, to accept an offer."

Wolfsburg must drop their £4 million asking price if Madlung is to make the move to Celtic.
