VfL Wolfsburg assistant coach Andries Jonker is set to move to Arsenal.
The Mirror says the Dutchman will replace Liam Brady as Arsenal academy chief.
Jonker has worked as technical director for the Dutch FA and as a coach with Louis van Gaal at Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Jonker's work at Bayern was acclaimed. He said: "I was able to get the best out of Franck Ribery. He was a street boy as a young player. I come from the streets of Amsterdam. I speak the language of the players.
"Those sort of players don't need many words to communicate. Often one word is enough.''
