Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was thrilled to see Jack Wilshere back in action on Monday night.
Wilshere replaced Aaron Ramsey with 25 minutes left on the clock in the 3-1 win against Hull City to mark his return from the injury suffered in November.
The 23-year old had been out of action after undergoing surgery on his ankle and his return was clearly warmly welcomed by Wenger who allayed fears of a serious injury to Ramsey.
Wenger said after the match: "Jack Wilshere returned and had a good game in his 25 minutes so that is a big positive.
"Aaron Ramsey got a big kick and that is swollen but it should not be too bad."
