Jack Wilshere admits he has endured a "frustrating" debut season at West Ham United.
Arsenal let the injury-plagued midfielder leaves the Emirates as a free agent last summer.
Wilshere has only managed seven appearances for the Hammers, and it hasn't been easy for the Englishman.
"It's been tough, it's been frustrating," Wilshere said.
"To pick up an injury was frustrating, but I know better than anyone what it takes to come back, and I've worked hard to come back and obviously got some more minutes at the weekend.
"I'm just taking it step-by-step, looking forward to each game as it comes. I wanted to come back before the end of the season just for my head and my confidence and to prove that I can come back."
