Dan Williams is ready to push through his £45 million takeover bid for Blackburn Rovers.

The Mirror says Williams has slapped in his offer after months of behind-the-scenes haggling over the ownership of Rovers. Williams is waiting on an answer from the Jack Walker Trustees and aims to fly in this week to seal the deal.

Williams has spent the past few months adding extra investors to ensure he hits the ground running.

He will be installed as chairman with a new-look board, but wants supremo John Williams to stay and play a major part in the future.
