Williams intent on grabbing away points for Swansea

Ashley Williams admits it's a shame Swansea City don't have any home fixtures over Christmas but insists the Welsh club will do what they can to get points on the road.

The Jacks take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day before heading to Aston Villa on Saturday but captain Williams says the plan is to take points from both away matches prior to the New Year.

"We're all in together and the camaraderie is great," he said. "They're obviously difficult matches against Chelsea and Villa away and then Man City at home who are arguably one of the best teams in the league.

"It's disappointing we have two away games over Christmas - we would have liked one at home but that's the way the fixtures fell. It's an important time. We want to come out of this period with some points on the board."
