There's speculation this morning that Wayne Rooney won't make Manchester United's starting XI for tomorrow's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
It's suggested in some quarters that Danny Welbeck started victory over Norwich City on the bench as manager Sir Alex Ferguson was keeping him fresh for Real - ahead of Rooney.
Rooney played the full 90 against Norwich, scoring once and creating two of Shinji Kagawa's three goals.
Welbeck scored against Real in the first-leg and has impressed in a wide role when called up by Ferguson.
It's suggested Ferguson will play Robin van Persie as a lone striker and crowd his midfield, with Welbeck selected ahead of Rooney.
