Chelsea No2 Ray Wilkins has backed Didier Drogba to win back his place from Nicolas Anelka. Drogba has been sidelined with a knee injury sustained against CFR Cluj in the Champions League on October 1 and has been forced to watch Anelka seize the chance to become the club's main goalscorer.
Anelka has hit 11 goals this season but Drogba will return for the fourth round Carling Cup tie against Burnley and Wilkins said the African will be raring to go.
"Didier has this in-built determination to succeed," said Wilkins.
"I don't think he will lie down lightly, he will come back with all guns blazing.
"He has looked very sharp over the last couple of days so he probably feels he is ready to take part in a full 90 minutes.
"It is up to the guy who is in charge of the shirt to make sure he stays in it."
