Wilhelmsson wants improved LA Galaxy showing

Christian Wilhelmsson may have produced his finest MLS display for LA Galaxy on the weekend but he is keen to improve even further.

The Swedish midfielder was one of the Galaxy's most effective players in their 3-0 Western Conference final first leg win over Seattle Sounders on Sunday but he has revealed that he wants to produce even more for the reigning champions as they look to defend their title starting with the return bout this weekend.

"Yes," Wilhelmsson replied when asked if that was his best MLS game.

"It still wasn't good enough, if you ask me.

"You have to be there, you have to be involved and you have to create chances as much as you can, and that's what I tried to do and it went well."

The Galaxy are preparing for the trip to CenturyLink Field on Sunday where if they avoid a four-goal defeat, will qualify for the 2012 MLS Final against either Houston Dynamo or DC United to be played on December 1.
