Wigan Athletic midfielder Lee Cattermole is keen on a move to Sunderland, it has been revealed.

Black Cats boss Steve Bruce admits he wants to sign the England U21 international.

The Daily Mail says Sunderland's initial £6m bid has been rejected but it's understood Cattermole has told Wigan he wants to be reunited with the man who signed him from Middlesbrough for £3.5m a year ago.
