Daniel de Ridder has told Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder to forget about a move to Manchester United.
Wigan Athletic winger De Ridder - who came through the ranks at Dutch giants Ajax alongside Sneijder - believes he should stay in Serie A, where he has found his feet after an unsuccessful time at Real Madrid.
"Of course big clubs want Sneijder, and he is worth it because he is a great player," De Ridder, who spent much of last season on loan at Hapoel Tel Aviv, told the Wigan Observer.
"But if I were him, I wouldn't go - not because I don't enjoy playing in England but because he has his own challenges ahead with Inter. There is no reason for him to move."
