Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is going back to former club Birmingham City for winger Daniel de Ridder.

The former Holland U21 international is not part of Alex McLeish's plans at St Andrews and is set to leave on a free transfer.

And that has allowed Bruce to nip in and sign De Ridder, 24, for a second time after taking him to Birmingham.
