Wigan Athletic are set to beat West Ham United for Real Mallorca defender Ivan Ramis.
The Daily Mail says Wigan are set to win the battle for Ramis after the defender agreed to waive his part of the transfer fee to link up with Roberto Martinez.
West Ham had agreed a £4million fee with Real Mallorca for the 27-year-old and he was due to have a medical on Monday morning, until Martinez intervened.
