Roger Espinoza is set to complete his return to Sporting Kansas City on Tuesday.
Reports suggest that the Honduras international, who has been released from his contract with Wigan Athletic, will re-sign with SKC after two years away from the club.
The rumours have been circulating for the past few weeks and it now appears likely that Espinoza will be unveiled at Sporting's 'major' player announcement.
Additionally, SKC president Robb Heineman posted the following Tweet on Sunday evening indicating that Espinoza was on his way back to Kansas City.
