Sporting Kansas City are moving closer to regaining the services of Roger Espinoza.
The 28-year old Honduras international is on the way out at Wigan Athletic and it appears increasingly likely that he will be heading back to MLS club SKC who still hold his rights.
Latics boss Malky Mackay confirmed that midfielder Espinoza was 'going back to America' and reports in the States are continuing to nod at a Sporting comeback.
Espinoza spent five years in Kansas City before moving to Wigan in 2013 and is now all set to return to Sporting Park.
Additionally, SKC president Robb Heineman posted the following on Twitter, hinting at the possibility of reuniting with Espinoza.
Reports say Roger is leaving Wigan.....wonder where he'll go??
