Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is keen on Portsmouth winger Jermaine Pennant.

Bruce sees unpredictable winger Pennant, who he worked with at Birmingham, as a potential replacement for Manchester United target Luis Antonio Valencia.

Pennant, on loan at Portsmouth from Liverpool, plans to quit Anfield in June - when his contract is due to run out - and that makes him attractive to Bruce.
