Wigan Athletic are keen on Burnley attacker Nakhi Wells.

The Sun says the Clarets have had a surprise inquiry from Wigan for Wells.

The striker is on loan at QPR but the Latics have asked about him as they bid to bolster their attacking options.

Burnley will break into the Wells' loan deal with Rangers only if they are selling him.

But the fee plus wages may be beyond Wigan.
