Wigan Athletic are determined to ward off any potential suitors for a couple of their players.
Young guns James McCarthy and Callum McManaman are both being linked with Premier League clubs but chairman Dave Whelan is hoping they stay put as the Latics prepare for life in the Championship under Owen Coyle.

"We have had people asking of course but we have had nothing serious on the table."
