Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez says he will not enter into contract negotiations with goalkeeper Chris Kirkland just yet.
The 30-year old went out on loan to Championship club Doncaster Rovers on October 12 but has already returned to the DW Stadium after suffering a back injury with his future very much up in the air.
But Martinez says it will not be sorted soon as he feels it more important to concentrate on more pressing matters.
"It's too early for that," the Spaniard said. "Chris is back from Doncaster at the moment and we need to get him fully fit and make sure in this period we concentrate on the run of the team.
"We're in a negative run of results and we need to change that, and all the personal situations are going to be dealt with accordingly over the next few months."
