Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is prepared to push through a deal for Rayo Vallecano midfielder Mohamed Diame.
The Daily Mail says Wigan still plan to sign Rayo Vallecano midfielder Diame even though the player's medical revealed he has a heart defect.
Latics manager Roberto Martinez remains optimistic about completing a £4million deal for Diame and team-mate Antonio Amaya.
However, the Spaniard said: "We can't take any chances."
