Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez believes you can stay up with less than 39 points.
The Latics saw off Manchester United and Arsenal in the space of five incredible days to move five points clear of the bottom three.
They travel to Fulham today and Martinez said: "I don't think you'll need 39 points this season.
"Last season 39 wasn't enough, Blackpool and Birmingham getting relegated with 39.
"I think it's going to be less than that but that has to be the target, you have to get to 38 or 39 points. Until you get those points you need to be thinking down those lines."
