Hull City are competing for Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman.
The Hull Daily Mail says Hull are one of four Premier League teams interested in signing Callum McManaman, but are unlikely to win the race after being quoted £5m by Wigan.
Latics boss Malky Mackay confirmed on Friday that City had made an enquiry for McManaman, who is also being tracked by West Brom and two other unnamed top-flight clubs.
"There's been no formal bid but there's been an enquiry," said the Wigan boss. "There's been an enquiry from a few clubs but I have great respect for Steve Bruce so I don't want to say any more than that."
