Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce is chasing West Brom midfielder Zoltan Gera.

The Mirror says Bruce made a personal check on the Hungarian international, who is out of contract at the end of the season, during Albion's 1-1 draw with Watford.

Middlesbrough and Aston Villa are also on the trail of the 28-year-old.

Baggies have held talks with Gera, who cost £2.5million from Ferencvaros in 2004. But he has put a decision on hold, saying: "I don't want to think about my future. I just want to play well in the last few games and help us get promoted."
