Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce wants Liverpool to play their full-strength team against relegation rivals Birmingham City.

Bruce's Wigan could guarantee their survival by beating Reading on Saturday but he will still have one eye on his old club.

He said: "It would be nice if Liverpool put their big-hitters out against Birmingham but I doubt it will happen."
