Wigan Athletic are keen on Barnsley youngster John Stones according to Sky Sports.
The highly-rated 18-year old defender has already attracted interest from other Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Manchester City but it is believed that the Latics are preparing a bid for his services.
Barnsley are looking to keep England U21 Stones at Oakwell but will consider any decent offers from top flight clubs.
