Wigan Athletic will assess the back injury sustained by goalkeeper Chris Kirkland who is currently on loan at Leicester City.
The 29-year old was set for his Foxes debut against Nottingham Forest on Monday but had to withdraw with a back problem.
Latics boss Roberto Martinez said the cold weather had contributed to Kikrland's misfortune and said that the club would have to assess whether or not he remained at Walkers Stadium or returned to Wigan for treatment.
"It's a back spasm. It's not a serious problem. Sometimes this cold weather doesn't really help," he said.
"We'll assess it over the next 48 hours and then decide whether he comes back or stays at Leicester."
