Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has revealed that Glenn Whelan is in doubt for this weekend's meeting with Swansea City.
The 30-year old midfielder suffered a leg injury while playing for the Republic of Ireland against Germany in Euro2016 qualifying on Tuesday and may come up short for Sunday's home clash with the Swans.
"We have a big worry over Glenn unfortunately," said Hughes of Whelan who has started all seven Premier League games for the Potters this season.
"He had to come off in the international match and is going for scans today just to get a real understanding of what's going on.
"He took a big bang on his leg and is in a lot of pain at the moment, so we need to get the bottom of that."
