Western Sydney Wanderers newest signing Shinji Ono insists he is ready for the A-League season after joining the club from Shimizu S-Pulse last week.
The new franchise kick-off their first campaign with a home fixture against Central Coast Mariners on Saturday but it's the round three meeting with Sydney FC and their star striker Alessandro Del Piero that has the Japanese veteran most excited.
"I know already that Del Piero is here and it's exciting to play him in round three, yes?" said Ono upon his arrival in Australia. "I will study him soon.
"I want to give everything, my energy to the team. It's very exciting to play here. I want to show the people what I can do."
