Sao Paulo defender Luizao has touched down in London to complete a move to West Ham United.

The Daily Mail says West Ham have agreed to sign Brazilian defender Luizao from São Paulo.

The 20-year old left-sided centre back arrived in England on Monday ahead of a scheduled medical and will sign a three-and half-year contract from January after his deal with the Brazilian side expires.

A nominal compensation fee will be due Sao Paulo.

Luizao has been signed for the club's development squad. West Ham have also spoken to São Paulo about a potential deal for their 20-year old midfielder Pablo Maia.
