West Ham U18 coach Keen delighted after FAYC QF win against Ipswich

West Ham U18 coach Kevin Keen was delighted with their FA Youth Cup quarterfinal win against Ipswich Town.

The Irons won 4-2 in extra-time.

Keen told the club's website: "The lads are in the dressing room and they're obviously tired but absolutely delighted.

"I have to say before we say anything else that Ipswich were fantastic. To go down to ten men just before half-time and the way they battled and some of the football they played was a real challenge for us, so full credit to them.

"I thought them and their coaching staff were fantastic.

"We've been drawn away every round in the Youth Cup so far and it's quite a difficult thing to keep going away.

"We've been to Sheffield United, Burnley, Stoke City and now here to Ipswich.

"They had fantastic support and by the way we had fantastic support too. It doesn't happen very often, but what an experience for them, with Regan Clayton getting booed and keeping his head and making sure we didn't get a red card ourselves.

"Little things like that are priceless for their education and going further in the game."
